By the way, the "full-on" 1998-bit was beyond awesome.  Did you ever read "Shatter" from First Comics?
Also, how much of a pain in the ass is it making it look like nintendo?

The Nintendoization was a real ass-pain, as I drew each of the smaller, male characters one pixel at a time in MS Paint.  The Girls and the other two dudes are just super-shrunk scans of ink drawings.  But then I just reuse them over and over again, so that initial anal distress was allll worth it.

I’ve seen Shatter, and I think that they actually put work into it (for some reason).

See, Shatter claimed to be the first computer generated comic, and that was true...BUT, I have another comic that claims they were the first to use computer COLORIZATION.  Doc Stearn...Mr. Monster #5 from Eclipse Comics (feb 1986) ran a 4 page story that was drawn by hand, but colored on a computer.  They called it "Terror-Chroma!".  Though, after the coloring process, it looked just as computer-drawn as Shatter, with it's jagged, blocky edges  Shatter, however, was drawn on a Mac (feh), but colored by hand.

What about that Iron Man graphic novel that was done entirely by computer? Was it called CRASH or something like that? Also there was BATMAN: DIGITAL JUSTICE (I think it was called). All of them suck.

I'd like to see Mage get one of those newfangled Hard Cover Collection treatments. Hell, there's a Femme Force Hard Cover in this month's Previews (Which I'm perversely tempted to buy, but don't have the scratch or wiggle room in monthly comic allowance).

Then again, I can't afford the American Flagg HC - which I'd like to read; but am short the $50. :|

Cool!  A whole week, and no new posts!

Allright, I scored a hardbound book, published in 1945 called "Barnaby" by Crockett Johnson.  The cover had deteriorated, but it was rescued by a library, and wrapped in plastic.  

Otherwise, it's sweet.

The story is about a little boy (maybe 10?) that gets a cigar-smoking, wise-ass "fairy godfather", and the kid gets in trouble for all the shit the fairy does.  No shit, his parents call in a child psychologist!

I know this is right up Sloofus' alley, so if he wants it (when I'm done reading it), he'll have to give me his address again, because his handwriting was indecipherable (spelled that right the FIRST TIME, muhmukkas!).

Also, Ford Fairlane is one of the most awesomest movies I've ever seen (and i'm not just saying that because it's friday, and I'm drunk!  Okay, that's why...screw!).

I also got pee-wee's big adventure on vhs (case and all, practically new!) for 1 buck.

I'm in dork heaven.  

Happy Friday.  Hey...maybe a new episode next week...we'll see if it's worth letting go.

Well, folks, I've got another show in the bag...mostly.  I tried to record the whole thing in one shot, but I got too wordy...and too drunk.  So, the funnybook flashback was just me giggling and burping for 15 minutes, and was no fun.  I'll hit the button, check out these comix again, and hopefully have it finished for the weekend.  Since they are coming out less than one a month (or every two), just thought I'd give a heads-up.

Also, I'm not gonna push too hard (yet) but it would be nice to put out the AKAAK47's at LEAST by the end of the year, so can we shoot for one a week in DEC?  All I need is a couple of re-records from one or two guys that fucked up.  Sloofus, I'm lookin' at you.

Anyway, I'm real proud of the new show, and it's a little different.  Look for it Fri/Sat.

Well, I'm getting started on episode 16, which means:  I'll think about it for a week, record it in one night, take another week to clean it up, and one more week before I bother to put it out (silently, under cover of darkness), AND THEN another couple days before I bother to tell anyone that I did this.  So, in about 3 weeks, you will have another episode to ignore.

Plus, in my spare spare time, I've managed to finish the first 2 episodes of AKA/AK47 (with the noisy bits left in...damnit), and I'm just holding onto them to be an asshole.  Hey, check my contract, buddy.  I'm obligated to do this.  What, you think I LIKE being an asshole?  Okay, guilty as charged.  Shit, everyone's got to have a hobby, right?
